BOB PRONG

Why I use the Bird of Paradise Capo-

"I've found the bird is always in tune, easy enough to use with one hand, and even enables you to capo just a couple of strings at a time, thus presenting some new tuning possiblities if you feel like getting really creative. If you use a capo, the bird will surely help your performance take off more smoothly and soar to new heights."

.During the past several years Bob has earned a reputation for being one of the region,s most successful entertainers, and most recently received some national recognition when Bob,s song "Prongwater" was used as background music for the popular sports program NBA on TNT. At the time of this writing (September 29th, 1999) Bob has done 516 performances either as a solo singer/guitarist or with his Prongwater band since left his day job as a book keeper to dive headfirst into full time professional music in late 1994. He has also been a "hired gun" guitarist for about 100 gigs with other groups, and is the Rochester and Syracuse area bass player for the Ebony magazine fashion fair tour.

Since the February, 1995 release of his first CD Bob's playing and song writing has earned him praise from music critics and audiences alike. Casey Farrell of Real Magazine writes: "Classically trained with a yearning for rock and roll hero status, Prong's technical prowess and soulful creativity allow for no boundaries." Andrew MacDuffie of City magazine wrote "When an accomplished guitar player is the center of a band , it usually means a lot of endless guitar solos wedged into half baked songs. But Bob Prong is a team player; he demonstrates his superb playing by making it a part of his well crafted songs."
