Happy Traum has been an active and important figure on the American music scene for nearly forty years. His avid interest in traditional and contemporary music has brought him recognition in many musical areas -- as a performer, writer, editor, folklorist, teacher, and recording artist.
Happy's intense musical involvement has been the driving force behind Homespun Tapes, the dynamic and growing music instruction company which Happy and his wife Jane founded in 1967. During the past three decades he has produced approximately 400 music instruction lessons on audio cassettes and over 250 lessons on video tape, taught by himself and other top professional performing musicians.
